AMERICAN LEGION MEMORIAL--- SCHOLARSHIP ADVANCED PROGRAM OFFERED BY AMERICAN LEGION GOLD STAR POST 191 GENERAL INFORMATION AND APPLICATION GENERAL INFORMATION In accordance with its Americanism Program, American Legion Gold Star Post 191, Mount Airy, Maryland, has established the following Memorial Scholarship. Is purpose is to assist a youth in furthering his/her schooling while enrolled full-time in a college, university or technical school. A student can receive this scholarship only one time, i.e. onetime only. AMERICAN LEGION MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ADVANCED $1,500.00 This scholarship is earmarked for a recipient in the following order.
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be:
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE Criteria that will be taken into consideration for
this scholarship include academic achievement, The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final. The successful recipient of the scholarship award will be announced on or about May 1.The grant itself will be made in the name of the recipient to any accredited college, university or technical school upon submission of a tuition statement from the educational institution.
